About the Department of Mechanical Engineering<\/h2>\n

The Department of Mechanical Engineering has established the following learning and educational objectives aiming to foster engineers who can design and manufacture machines with creative ideas.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Have basic academic skills related to mechanical engineering and be able to apply them to real-world problems.<\/p>\n

Able to design and manufacture mechanical systems from scratch.<\/p>\n

Able to design and manufacture mechanical systems that embody mechatronics based on basic academic skills related to mechanical and electronics\/information engineering.<\/p>\n

Based on the above, the curriculum is designed with the following three pillars: \u201cManufacturing Engineering,\u201d \u201cDynamics of Machinery,\u201d and \u201cMechatronics Control.\u201d In the manufacturing engineering courses, students learn design methods using the latest 3D CAD and machining technology in the department\u2019s training factory. In the dynamics of machinery courses, students learn the basics of the theories that make up mechanical engineering, such as material mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and mechanical dynamics, and understand the basics of machine structure and operating principles. In the mechatronics control courses, students learn about the parts that control machines and acquire basic technology related to the intelligence of machines.<\/p>\n
